Moderators and mediators of outcome in treatments for anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa in adolescents: A systematic review of randomized controlled trials

About the Course:

More than 50% of adolescents being treated for an eating disorder do not recover, therefore it is important to understand for whom, why, and how therapy works (or does not work). Learn what the research has found so far, including whether we can help to match a person with the best treatment for them. For example, should people be given a different therapy depending on how well they get along with their family or how severe their symptoms are? And find out if we can understand and adapt the effective ingredients of therapy to improve outcomes. This summary of the published evidence highlights a range of challenges in this research including how some statistical analyses can lead to false findings and the lack of consensus on what constitutes recovery.
