About the Course:
Most people with mental health disorders fail to receive timely access to adequate care. US Hispanic/Latino individuals are particularly underrepresented in mental health care. One article looks at how mobile technology has the potential to overcome known barriers to accessing and utilizing traditional assessment and treatment approaches. The other article looks at the association between trauma experienced by immigrants during premigration, during migration, and postmigration, and current mental health status among Latino youth aged 12–17 years old living in the US for < 3 years.
