This course covers a guide for implementing the ’2007 Patient Safety Goals on Suicide’ by The Joint Commission. The course explains the application of the goals and the use of the Suicide Assessment Five-step Evaluation and Triage (SAFE-T) model. Those taking this course will be exposed to a model for assessing and evaluating suicidality. The course also explains the application of these principles in hospital settings and other psychiatric settings.
