It is also suitable for general practitioners who may see patients with either eating disorder symptoms or gastrointestinal complaints.

After taking this course, you should be able to:

  1. Describe the prevalence of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) in outpatients with bulimia nervosa.
  2. Identify the symptoms of IBS, as defined by the Manning criteria.
  3. Categorize relationships between gastrointestinal symptoms and eating disorders.
