Iraq War Clinician Guide, Second Edition: Assessment and Treatment of Anger in Combat-Related PTSD

About the Course:

The Iraq War Clinician Guide was developed by members of the National Center for PTSD and the Department of Defense. It was developed specifically for clinicians and addresses the unique needs of veterans of the Iraq war. Chapter 10 focuses on grief reactions. Although research into the prevalence and intensity of grief symptoms in war veterans is limited, clinicians recognize the importance for veterans grieving the loss of comrades. The existence of a distinct and intense set of grief symptoms indicates the need for clinical attention to grief in the treatment plan. This course covers Chapter 10 only.
