About the Course

In light of statistics showing that the number of women inmates is increasing faster than those of males, these three studies provide a glimpse behind the numbers. The primary theme calls for redefining justice due to the link between violence against girls and women and their involvement in illegal activity.

  2. describe a judicial perspective on the sex trade and interventions designed to dismantle the sex trade industry.
  3. become effectively knowledgeable about the role of childhood victimization in the development of female criminal behavior.
  4. increase knowledge of the potential mechanisms in the derailment of girls and women to the criminal justice system.
